The Graco TrueCoat Pro Cordless Spraygun
The Graco Truecoat Pro airless paint sprayer offers cutting edge cordless technology. It incorporates Graco’s reliable ProSpray piston-pump technology. Best of all, it runs on a rechargeable battery system making it fully portable.
The majority of Airless sprayers are powered by a large main pump unit that is quite large and bulky. This main unit pumps the paint to the spraygun handpiece via a lengthy spray hose. This system is great for large jobs where a lot of paint is needed to complete the project. However, a large airless spraygun can be overkill on some painting projects. Suppose you would like to paint some doors, trim, or even lattice. Here is where the Graco Truecoat Pro become a good option.
To start , all you need to do is insert the plastic liner into the paint cup. This enables you to easily dispose of unused paint at the end of your project and greatly reduces the time it takes to clean up. Next, pour paint into the cup, re-attach, prime the unit, and you’re ready to start spraying.
You can utilize the Truecoat Pro for an unlimited variety of painting tasks such as panelling, radiators, awkward piping or vents to name just a few. It is compatible with and will spray a variety of products such as Enamels, acrylics, varnishes, primers etc. Best of all, thinning the paint is not required with the Truecoat Pro System.
Cleaning up a spraygun can be a daunting task. However, the task of cleaning the TrueCoat is basic. First step is to remove the plastic liner and dispose of unused paint. Next, fill the cup with water and flush it through the pump. Finally, replace the water with an anti-corrosive solution and … You’re done!
Whilst the portabilty and cordless operation of the Truecoat Pro is a massive advantage, one must take into consideration the fact that one battery will only spray approximately 1 Gallon of paint (3.78 ltrs). The spray package comes complete with two 18 Volt re-Chargeable batteries, recharge time being about 45 minutes per battery. Obviously this okay for less extensive projects, but would not be best for spraying large quantities of paint quickly.
The benefits of airless spraying are endless. At the end of the day, there is no better feeling than knowing that you have saved countless hours of work by spray painting. Always remember to use the appropriate respirator and protective clothing when spraying and don’t forget to protect surrounding surfaces by masking up and laying down drop sheets where neccesary.
All in all, an airless spraygun unit is an essential addition to anyones tool kit, especially if you don’t like the idea of wasting your life by painting the old fashioned way.
